Life is a Beach! Enjoy it while you can. Day 15 of my Breast Cancer Awareness Month Series.
The colors of this ATC are so fun! I just love the fall flowers and the gorgeous greens. The flowers are made from twisted and wrapped crepe paper… with black wire curled and poked in. They were inspired by the recipe I promised for today…
Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer
- 1 can sweetened condensed canned milk
- 1 1/2 cups almond milk
- 3 TBS canned pumpkin
- 1/4 Tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 Tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 Tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 Tsp ground cloves
- 1 Tsp vanilla extract
Put all the ingredients in a blender with the lid on and give it a good whirl. Pour into coffee and drink! YUM. I stored mine in the fridge in a jar. For richer creamer you can use regular milk. I wanted something I didn’t feel horribly guilty about. /wink!
Day Eight of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Today’s card features an abstract view of the topic. I used text pages from a dictionary. The collage paper has a fragmented feel to go with the out of place missing/lost/puzzled pieces. I mussed up the puzzle pieces with black/colored glitter and used charcoals to smug up the edges of the body.
It’s kind of a confusing card but given the topic I think it fits.
I missed posting yesterday. Time got away from me and before I knew it it was too dark to photograph this card. It’s sneakily getting darker soon…and making me crazy pumpkin spiced coffees and cocoas…go figure that the store didn’t have Pumpkin Spice creamer in again. I’m now on a mission to make my own. I’ll share the recipe when I find a good one. =)
I am on time today however! And here’s the Bloomin’ Buddies I finished yesterday in time for today’s posting…
The ‘buddies’ photographed far more yellow than they are… the are actually more on the green side, much like the leaves on the body. Yummy fun with glitters and rhinestones. In her Sunday best. Have a great day and I’ll be back tomorrow for Day 8.
This was a blast! I had the best time with this ATC… going a bit overboard with detail. Detail is by far my favorite part of doing a painting/collage/assemblage. Gilding the lily as it were.
I started with a precut card made from illustration board and painted the edges flat black with acrylic paint. I then added the orange paper from a Halloween stack I’ve had for nearly three year. It had the sparkly black dots on it already… so I added a black sponged border and used glitter glaze to make it look more like the existing dots. Then I added the spider web woman and more glitter glaze. I topped it off spider confetti hanging from black web threads pulled from some black jute. I set a Rhinestone in the center and added the Itsy Bitsy text at the bottom.
I adore the composition and whimsy of this and found it fitting for the month of October!
So Day 5 is complete! Have an awesome Friday and I’ll see you tomorrow for Day 6 in the Breast Cancer Awareness series.
Crazy acorns! It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month again… and in honor of that I’m making an ATC a day for the duration of the month. This is for Day Three!
It’s crazy windy here today and it’s the first day I’ve actually worn a hoody for working in my studio in nearly two years. I have the wind open to freshen the air and help easy the smells of paints and glues and God only knows what else! I’m working on three different things at once so my hands have been super goopy. I’m covered in blue glitter glue and in dire need of a hand washing… so on that note come back tomorrow for Day 4 of more cleavage!
